Worth the Wait: Team B&B Shines at the NRHA Derby
Some moments are worth waiting for, and this was certainly one of them.
The 2025 Adequan® North American Affiliate Championships were originally scheduled for last fall but were postponed and ultimately held alongside the 2026 6666 NRHA Derby presented by Markel in Oklahoma City. After months of waiting, preparing, and keeping their sights set on the opportunity ahead, Callie Messenger, Britney Reinebach, and Leavin A Legaci, better known around the barn as Crush, made the trip count.
And they made Team B&B incredibly proud.
Callie and Crush Take On the Non Pro Derby
Callie and Crush stepped into the Non Pro Derby preliminaries and delivered a strong, confident run, earning an impressive score of 213.5.
Competing at the NRHA Derby is an accomplishment in itself. The atmosphere is big, the competition is deep, and every trip into the pen represents countless hours of preparation behind the scenes. Callie and Crush rose to the occasion and showed exactly what their partnership is made of.
Their run reflected the trust, consistency, and hard work they have built together—and proved once again that Crush knows how to live up to his name.
They were absolutely Crushin’ it.
Reserve Honors for Britney and Crush
Crush wasn’t finished yet. Britney also climbed aboard Leavin A Legaci for the rescheduled Adequan NAAC and brought home Reserve honors in the NAAC Rookie Professional for owner Callie Messenger.
After the disappointment and uncertainty of having the championship postponed last fall, earning a Reserve finish made the moment even more meaningful. Britney and Crush stayed ready, delivered when their opportunity finally arrived, and represented B&B Reinebach beautifully on one of reining’s biggest stages.
It was an incredible accomplishment for Britney, Callie, and Crush and a result that speaks to the teamwork behind every successful ride.
A Team Accomplishment
The wins we see in the show pen begin long before anyone walks through the gate. They are built during early mornings, late nights, training rides, lessons, barn chores, long hauls and all the quiet moments when horse and rider learn to trust one another.
This experience celebrated that work.
Congratulations to Callie on an outstanding Non Pro Derby preliminaries run and to Britney on her Reserve NAAC Rookie Professional finish, and to Crush for showing up and giving his all for both riders.
